we remember the “bad paths” and the “good paths” – when practicing the “10 times right” way, do it 10 times in a row, not just 10 times. consequences make you focus better.

By Jan 12, as part of team #1 as the Screenwriter, I will have evidence of writing a script that fits the format of a short film by following How to Write a Short Film for session 3.
PRE-PRODUCTION – INQUIRY
Leader(s) in the Field / Exemplary Work(s)
I chose Spike Lee as my leader in the field for session 3.
This session I mainly focused on properly formatting the script, as well as trying to make it fit with the film’s genre.
POST-PRODUCTION – REFLECTION
21st Century Skills
Ways of Thinking
This session we managed time efficiently enough to capture all of the sound and footage. we communicated well enough to have a fully edited film with all of the needed audio and footage.
Ways of Working (Communication & Collaboration)
We had a lot of good communication during this session. We communicated things like what each team member would be doing that day, or whether or not we had certain footage/audio.
Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)
I used a template for the script to format it right, and I looked at a few professional screenplays as references for what a proper script should look like.
Ways of Living in the World (Life & Career)
During this session, I figured out how important communication and planning are. If we hadn’t communicated about certain things our film would have been a complete mess.
Reactions to the Final Version
James commented on the lack of music in the film, which will be my main goal for the next session as sound designer. He said the writing was a little comedic, which was sort of the point, but he said it didn’t really fit with the film, which is fair. I was not here when we presented the film to the class, so I don’t have any peer feedback.
Self-Evaluation of Final Version
I think we made a pretty solid film production-wise. Though the story and dialogue could use some revising to make it fit with the film a little more.
Grammar and Spelling
I used Grammarly to check my spelling and grammar.
